Aloysius Residence – 30 luxurious apartments in the former priests' residence

In the stately area of Benoordenhout in The Hague, the Zaanse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (ZOM) is developing: Aloysius Residence. The building of thirty luxurious apartments in the former priests' residence (Patershuis) Aloysius at one of the most beautiful sites in the city, can justly be called a special project. Living in a historic monument, enjoying the full country life and yet having all the comfort of the city within reach; that is what makes Aloysius Residence so alluring.

In the beginning of the last century the Patershuis was the stay of Jesuits working as teachers at the Aloysius College, the Catholic boys' school at the same spot. These striking buildings have determined the scenery in this quiet and atmospheric living area for decades.

Original building style and design

The decision to redevelop the old Patershuis for a new purpose does justice to the original intention: housing. Completely in line with the original building style and design, the residence of the former Jesuit order will be restored and extended in its full glory. In order to develop thirty spacious apartments the former Patershuis will be partly renovated and partly provided with an entirely new wing.
