Front&cross-section – 30 luxurious apartments in the former priests' residence
The redevelopment of the old Patershuis will be done thoroughly .The façade will be restored in the old state as much as possible and will enter a new life as an apartment building. On the inside a historical style and a nostalgic atmosphere will be maintained, but of course with all the amenities and comfort of modern days. An entirely new wing will be built at the back. It will fully fit in with the existing structure.
On the outside you will see red bricks, small towers, stained-glass windows, protruding brickwork and pitched roofs made of anthracite. Inside you will come across monumental stairs which lead you to the different floors by means of elegant handrails and colourful tiling. High, slender windows create playful light effects. At various places you will find original details like alcoves with stained-glass windows; everything fitting within the classical appearance of the premises.
Aloysius Residence is a haven in the busy city. Calm and harmonious the building is surrounded by green. Many apartments overlook the sports fields of the Aloysius College at the back and a newly constructed garden containing lots of different flowers, a small canal and ancient trees at the front. Trees that have roots steadily anchored in the ancient ground of The Hague.
